Thinks or needs? Sure you can put these in a .308 and play...but why not put it behind something worthy of sending it?

You're really going to want a cartridge to get it going 2800-3000fps. So 300 Norma to 300 Lapua improved territory.

I was actually just joking when I said that about the 32" barrel. I know it will take a cannon .30 to push it correctly.

sounds like a cool round. I'm assuming it's a cheytac bolt face and you'll be shooting it on a Rem 700 action?

It's Hornady don't matter what u shoot it in, the case is full of marketing! It will shoot moa in anything!

Already sounding like the 230 may be the better of the two in combination of velocity and B.C. Very similar to what was seen with the 215gr Berger vs the 230.

No. The 250 ATip is much more efficient regardless what cartridge pushes it. Even in the 308, it outperforms the 230s at the 2400 fps. Less drop and better wind numbers. These numbers were gathered by another member on a different forum. Not me.
