Any of you guys ever use their barrels I've never heard of them but I picked up a short action Remington at a gun show this weekend in 25-284 and the guy said he believed it was built by K&P when I got it home and took it apart I was pleasantly surprised it had an HS precision stock with the full length bedding block a jewel trigger and looked to be an aftermarket recoil lug it's a nice looking rig and looks to be put together really well action is nice and smooth if you've used any of their barrels or their services please let me know what you think of them. Thanks

The 4 I've seen all had tighter muzzles than breech ends broke in fast and didn't copper after that. All 4 have very satisfied customers and the 3 I shot to function test were going to be shooters. They use to be less expensive but have crept up due to some very high profile shooters/gunsmiths using them becoming known outside of the shops they own/run.
If it is not shot out you will have a nice shooting rifle provided the work was done by them.
It was this company that cut the custom barrel for the sniper's hide first RPR upgrade project. Watching lowlight shoot sub half moa out to 1400yds in some wind with it speaks for itself. The .2-.3 factory ammo targets he shot routinely with whatever he put in it is further validation as well

Well I scoped the bore as soon as I got home and she was pristine didn't look like it had been shot very much at all he had 2 of them the other one was a 7mag documented with only 5 rounds through it and I'm pretty sure this one has less than 20 chamber & throat look great I didn't think it was to bad for a grand so I bought it thanks for the info

Called K&P and talked to Ken told him what I had and he confirmed that they had built it Thanks

Guy at K and P is getting a little old to be runnign a busi3enss; becuase it's more his way or the highway... and schedules are not met. Buyer beware.

Chad Dixon, LRI has teamed up with K&P barrels, to sell the K&P barrels. Chad has also been using K&P barrels for customer rifle builds. So they must make some good shooting barrels.

I know there barrels are cut rifled. I just ordered one in .338 through LRI. Dunno how long it will take to receive it.

Pics would be great! Sounds like a great rifle you have there.
If you're like me and can't load pics….I fully understand.
No matter what I do, my pics always come back being too large…oh well.

Cheers.

I'd think twice about ordering anything from K and P; his customers time isn't important over his own time; and he seems virtually retired. If you have a shoot or a timeline; forget this guy. I've heard his final results slipping and I can say it's true. Thankfully he blew me off after waitng two years as he kept saying two weeks over and over. I must have contacted him a half dozen times in two years. Forget about this small company; there aree so many others that are better.

A Grand, is a GREAT Price for THAT,.. Action, Barrel, chambering "work", JEWELL Trigger and, the HS Precision stock !!!
I have, an HS Prec stock, on my Rem 700, Criterion barreled, Jewell Trig., in 6 XC and it shoot's,.. in the .2's and 3's.
My cost, to "Build" it,.. was,..TWO Grand !
YUP,. you got, a 1/2 Price,.."deal" ! Good Luck and have Fun with, it !

K@P barrels used to be well known for there .50 caliber barrels. Not so much for the smaller bores. Lots of great options out there for barrels today.
