What really gets my goat is the fact that it is already against the law to murder someone. So a person that decides to break that law is going to be detered by another law? Somehow, I don't really see that happening. Yet the grabbers all have the same " Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up" attitude. Did a bit of research a couple years ago on gun control, looking for historical data. The Cato Institute had a fascinating article about it, stating in plain text, that gun control is NEVER about crime abatement, it is about fear of revolution. Nuff said, I guess.

Ok, no, that wasn't nuff said. One of my daughters was at my mom's bible study last week. Bunch of old ladies, my mom is 82. My girl said they were all screaming for gun control, as in everybody give all of them up. She mentioned she had been on campus when a nutbag went off the deep end, killed two others before a CCW holder killed them, saving who knows HOW many lives, as the shooter had more weapons and mags in a back pack. Why, I never heard about that...was the response, followed by an abrupt change of subject. Nope, we don't hear about crimes stopped or interrupted by law abiding gun owners, because that just doesn't fit the narrative being put forth by the brain washing, brain dead media. After all, if guns are outlawed, all crime will stop, right? No, no, more like if guns are outlawed ,only outlaws will have guns. Look at our neighbors to the south. Private ownership of firearms is illegal in Mexico. One legal gunstore in the entire country . AND IT IS CONTROLLED BY CRIMINALS!!!!! How can people be so stupid as to believe that drivel gun control is crime control ? It's mind bogglingly idiotic, and you just can't fix stupid.

Florida tried to ban the sale of AR15's... It passed... But 15 minutes later it was overturned for being unconstitutional.

The people who shout the hardest for banning/outlawing things are typically the most uninformed. One of the women (Dem, of course) that was saying ban them, tried to claim (as part of her reasons why to ban) that there were "bullets made for it that explode inside of people causing massive damage"... I'm not joking, look it up. That's the level of intelligence and firearms knowledge that wants to ban guns. Followed by the newest generation of ******* that aren't even old enough to buy a gun, yet they demand gun control, while holding a lunch bag full of tide pods to snack on... We're screwed as a society! The liberal utopia they started implementing about 60 years ago has totally failed, but they're too blind to see that it's their ideals that are the ones failing, while conservative and Constitutionalist ideals are still standing strong as ever.

In other words, they want to excuse it's complete failure until you can no longer escape from it ...... at which point they will no longer tolerate complaints.

So in reading the bill in its entirety one thing I did not notice was a clearly defined grandfather clause clearly stating that all of the rifles owned before the ban are "grandfathered" I saw portions dictating how they should be stored and provisions for sale. Even a portion that mentioned but did not get into specifics of confiscating "large capacity magazines". Did anyone else notice this? Anybody also notice that many of the longer range bolt action rifles were not included in the exempted list? Things like all of the Cheytac and Barrett bolt guns. I also did not find any of Mr. Allen's rifles in that list either.

Just goes to show my original point, they have NO intention of stopping with semi-autos. Please, when you are at the sporting goods store buying ammo or other items please let all the folks that you talk to at the gun counter understand this
