SIG Kilo 2400 with Applied Ballistics!!

I'm not bummed out now I didn't pick up a Terrapin, I know of three now that have taken a dump and what repair options there are cost more than they are worth. It's starting to look like there is a new go to rangefinder!

I think the expectations of usable life of products like these will change and long warranties may become less important. I really look forward to the advanced capabilities of the 2400 which appear to be additive to long range hunting performance....Thiis is not much different from when I awaited my first Mildot scope, Leica, Vectronix, and the G7. Each technology combined with my own increased experience.greatly improved my LRH success. At the rate this field appears to be moving, my guess would be that the 2400 will be replaced by another innovation within the next three years. This won't stop me from buying one though.

I agree. When we can get the SIG Kilo 2400 technology in a set of high quality binoculars. Who ever does this and does it right will make a fortune.

I was testing and videoing for the review in 13* F. But the unit was in and out of the truck some, however it was out for 20 to 30 minutes and was functioning well.

That's great to hear!
But in the Northern Plains like ND and Northern MN, 13 is actually fairly warm in the dead of the Winter.
Anybody tested the 2400 in temps @ -25*F, and left the unit outside for a length of time?
I know this is a brutal test, but for us up here -25*F is a reality...Heck in Canada -40*F can happen frequently.
The biggest problem with keeping the unit in your pocket is this... Condensation... Bringing anything back and forth from cold to warm temps causes considerable amounts of condensation. So it's just easier to keep the unit on the cold side to prevent that. Also, I'm curious as to how well the OLED screen works in the cold temps.
Thanks

You just have to figure out where to put electronics where condensation or cold are not an issue, put them in your shirt pocket next to your skin you'll have issues but put them one layer in on an inside pocket and you'll have no issue, they are making pouches specifically for this reason. I hunt all the time below zero, yesterday at work the coldest of us was at -33 and had a -57 wimdchill so hunting below zero is something we do a lot of.

Speaking of warranties and repairs, don't forget the Sig Kilo 2400 Applied Ballistics system comes with a Lifetime Warranty.

This may have been covered already but does the 2400 have zero offset?
How about scope calibration?
Does kilo read true moa?
Is so, where do I find info?
Got my 2400 yesterday and trying to get everything up and running.

Thanks,
Ray

You dawg! I don't have one yet! I hope it will range for enough that you don't stretch the barrel on your SS:D

This thing seems pretty nice but there are many questions and testing I need to do before I am sold on it.
Wish I knew how to upload a photo from my smart phone? I mounted my Swarvoski doubler to the Kilo 2400 and it works like a dream. Now I have 14x on this thing!

SS? I have never actually seen one in person

That doubler sounds like a good addition......Rich
