Your favorite FFP reticle for hunting…

I like Nightforce's Mil-XT which is in my NX8. My Tract Toric ELR also has a tree. I guess I like trees.

Like some already suggested, the type of shooting scenarios and the personal preferences determine the reticle choices.

My shooting scenarios usually give me enough time to dial.
And my personal preference is dialing rather than holding over.....
Therefore, I don't have much use for a gridded reticle — so my need for an uncluttered view for the scope cam takes precedence.
Now, if could get both, I'd take it.... — and electronic reticles will soon make this a reality, I suspect. 😊

That's interesting, but where do you find a store that allow that to be done. They are not just let you go out the door with that scope and test it. or at lease I don't believe so. They would if you put down money to cover the cost.

I wouldn't buy anything anymore where hunting is a consideration until I've looked thru it at Dusk and Dawn! Making out a Treeline at 400 yards at Dusk is okay....making out the LEAVES is priceless!
Brother, being able to see 30 minutes before and after legal shooting time at 400Y is a tall order regardless of scope including NVs/thermals, esp. with these old eyes. I normally limit myself at 100Y or less when I can no longer identify/see what is behind my target but, that's just me. Cheers!

FAV HUNTING RETICLE-> illuminated G3 reticle in my Bushnell Elite LRTS 4.5 - 18 x 44 scope. (The "Xmas tree" is small enough for hunting but has the windage holds I need.)

FAV COMPETITION RETICLE-> H59

I do it everytime a person comes into the store looking for an optic....and that's definitely a service that sets us apart and brings in more and more customers by word of mouth....and I escort them out and help answer any questions..believe me it helps the sales....more companies should try it...! Or not.....I might loose a customer!

I like the G3 reticle very much. I prefer the 3-12's, but will take either.
