Guys looking to finally pick up a windmeter. I shoot a 7 mm stw, 280 and 7/08AI and trying to decide if the 5700 kestrel worth the scratch or stick with their entry level models. or any other suggestions as well. thanks I have never owned one.

IMO, the Kestrel 5700 Sportsman is about all a hunter should ever need. Pay once, cry once, never look back.

Personally I bought the skymaster from the long range hunting store. Way cheaper and it's served me well. No ballistics app but I've got shooter on my phone so that's no problem for me. It works great and there are several old threads on it here also that help with proper setup for hunting situations.
