Why the mad dash on reloading supplies?

I hope for all our sakes that the rest of the country doesnt end up the way we have in NY.We had laws shoved down our throats by liberal socialist tyrants without even having a say in the matter.Good luck to you all.

Well make that 4 lbs Retumbo and 3 lbs H1000. I just bought the last two pounds of the same lot of Retumbo.

If anyone in the Lexington area is looking for H1000 or Retumbo go to Evans Firearms and Archery. As of 15 minutes ago they have 1 or 2 pounds left of Retumbo, wasn't same lot of the 4 I bought, and 1 or 2 pounds of H1000 left. I'm good now for a few years. I don't shoot hundreds of rounds a year.
 
As bad as it is, it's almost as though someone planned it this way. Fear caused all the panic, and lots of people are left without. ( I thought our gobberment didn't believe in terrorism). Well, it smells like it to me. And then, the wait! The wait to see what they are or aren't going to do.
As was said before, let this be a lesson to ALL of us, to stay stocked up. I keep ahead by a reasonable margin, probably a year or so, but every time this $&@? Happens, the prices go up too. ***!!!!!

I learned my lesson in 2008. It sucks not to be able to find what you need anywhere in town. I think it would be too easy for our government to tax the crap out of ammo and components with everything that been going on lately. I keep waiting for them to launch a campaign against lead bullets. The media has everyone scared to death of lead and mercury. I'm stocking up and have been for the last few years. I buy as much as I can justify(afford) and it is much easier to justify buying something when you might not be able to get it again for a long time. If there is any mention of tax on ammo with all of this I am going to buy more than I can afford.
 
I would feel I was out of powder if I was down to 5-7 lbs. I always have on hand about 50 lbs of different powder and nearly 7000 primers. It took 2 yrs the last time there was a run and so once it settled down I stocked up.
 
So i go to my local reloading supply place today to look for a couple boxes of 162 grain A-Max's, they had 1700 of them, i bought 200 for $30 a box.

Can't believe you left 1,500. You could buy them today at $30 and sell them at college time for $60 to $100 per box and pay for the first year of college.
It's an investment. :D

That might be a life time supply......:rolleyes:

They will never be this cheap again and IF~N THE (D)s get the house in 2014 the jig will be up and them 1,500 will pay for all your college. $300/ box after BO FREE CELL PHONE TAXES!:cool:

I was thinking of buying them and selling them on here for $40 a box +shipping, but man that would be a hassle for $150 :rolleyes:.
 
Riley, you got to start thinking outside the box. Way down the road. 5 years from now they COULD be $50 or $300, or just a lifetime supply. I'd rather own them than stocks. Think about them VOR-TX TTSXs ......lightbulb
I know when I like something they stop making it! Remington might write off Barnes Bullets and there you would be.
 
True but in 5 years they could be $10/box because something 100x better came out and they are now obsolete. Think the original x bullet, now the LRX. You never know. If i had $510 i would buy them but i spent most of my money on a 6.5x284 last year. But i do agree with you on the lifetime supply part.

The reason I say that is some things you post sound as though they are coming from an adult and I assume you are a young boy...assume, but I can't look at you so it's only an assumption.
