Ok, guys I'm new to the forum. Spent sometime searching and researching different calibers online today. I would consider myself an avid hunter and gun collector. I'm to a point in my collection where I'm buying odd, or hard to find ammo for rifles. Any way my question is??? Are there any obvious gaps in my collection that I'm over looking. 22lr, 2506, 708, 308,3006, 7mag, 8Mauser,
300mag, 7wsm, 6.5 creddmor, 6.5 swed, 270, 280, 375h@h,, 20 and 12 gauges, 357mag, 3030, and 243, that is what I have so far, most are bolt action rifles, few semi, handgun and lever, im looking to fill any gaps, im also in process lf getting a 50 Cal. Muzzleloader , advise me please

I get these calibers in my head, and I usually end up making a purchase. Lately its been 325 wsm or 270 wsm, or 8mm mag. But I have rifles that will do the same work. Or do I?

Some of the early cartridges 38-55, any of the .45's from the 45-70 up. A big .50 could cap one end of the possibilities for you.

First off the title is supposed to say what to buy next, I don't know about this swpe text with its auto correct, but I should have caught it. I passed a heck of a deal on a 22250. I should have not passed on that. I guess 4570 is on my list, maybe,. I don't know why I'm really wanting a 8 Remington magnum I know its just caliber lust.

You need a 45-70
You need a 338
If the 357 is a handgun you also need a lever action 357

I think you have 30 cal covered from 30-30 to 300wm

You don't have a 9mm or 45 handgun..... That's a major oversight there as well.

I'd say order of importance
1. 223/556 AR-15
2. Either a 9mm or 45semi auto handgun
3. Either a 22-250 or 45-70
4. Whichever one you didn't get yet from (3)
5. Everything else.

I know that this is a "long range hunting" formum and I myself value that kind of shooting highly. However there is alot that you can gain in your shooting skill from shooting handguns and close range ARs/lever guns that will help your long range shooting.
