Varget and Retumbo

I bought 16# of Varget today......

Feeds 223 AI, 6 Dasher, 6 BR, a few other things. Should last me out the summer, I'm having surgery at some point so my shooting will drop off for about two months after that. I get about 1500 rounds per keg in those smaller cases - I love my boomers but the little guys are so much easier to feed.

I dream of the day when I can go through 16 pounds of powder in a summer

I hear ya about the boomers…i love them but lately I've really been fond of my .243 and dad's old 30-30 for the same reason

You can do it! Just shoot more. Get your kids shooting, that'll really pump up the round counts.

That's the point of reloading, right? Shoot more for the same cost.

I don't have anything to do with water, women, fast cars, or the stock market. Shooting is cheap compared to all them things!

I don't care either way tbh.

Theyre both on the list of powders I've decided not to bother trying and don't need. Overrated. I'm sure they are great but just…people lose their dang minds about them and the prices are nuts and then you see what people pay for them on auctions and such and you know what…THEY CAN KEEP IT!

Pretty much the same as you. I still have some of each, lots of Varget, but have switched to VV powders now and so far they work well. But I still have my staple H4350,H4831 and 4064. Also, been using Shooters World…not bad,but not great

Yes and other Cody Firearms at Trout Creek Campground 6 miles out of town heading North to Powell. Murdoch's in Powell has some powder but not much. H869 and Win. 296 a couple . Rocky mountain will hold for you if you are going to pick up. So will Trout Creek.
