I am considering the 160 grain Shock Hammer bullets for a 28 Nosler @ around 3250fps. I have a couple of hundred on hand. What are y'all's thoughts? Shooting distance will vary from muzzle out to 500/600 yards. Realistically I probably won't be taking shots longer than 600yds unless conditions are just perfect. I will ring steel at longer distances just for fun and practice. The bc is not great at .446 but….. I have a bunch. Any thoughts or experience with these bullets in general, performance, or loaded in 28 Nosler.

Thanks in advance

I ran the 143's Hammer hunters in my first 28. Great bullet great performance and was in your limits. I shot further on steel with them and liked them. The new 28 shoots the 154 absolutes which I really enjoy. Very accurate. Accurate enough for me to ring steel to 1112 yards. When this barrel is toast I'm not sure what it will go to but to answer your question I would run the 143 if your twist can handle it. I ran the 143's at over 3600 and the 154's at 3350 out of a 24 inch barrel and the 169's at 3300 for what it's worth.
