I have a custom 6mm AI with a 14 twist barrel. It is set up for light bullets and shoots the 68-69 grainers very well. Varget has given a muzzle velocity of 3643 fps. I plan to deer hunt with it this fall so I have been testing the Shock Hammer 71. Yesterday, I decided to shoot through a number of water jugs to see what the bullet would do. I found the bullet a few inches past the sixth jug. It had traveled through about 23" of water. The bullet now weighs 47 grains. Base on what I can read, this should have adequate killing power out to 350-400 yards.

Any field results from this bullet?

Not yet. Hoping to drive one through some WT this year from a short barreled 243 win.

Expected range is less than 100 yards from treestands, so never even chronoed it. I would imagine it is north of 3100 based on other similar weight bullets.
