39.3 Varget, OAL 2.63, Fed 210M. 2828fps
40.2 Varget 2902fps, 42.0 H4350 2678fps

all were .50 MOA or less Varget were .25 MOA. Varget was best over all

RL-16 43.0 gr , 2834fps
RL-16 41.6gr, 2771fps, both half inch MOA

Has anyone ran the 110 hammer or 117 sledgehammer out of a short 6.5x47L or 6.5 creedmoor?

short being 20" and shorter. What velocities were you getting?

i am only interested in those two bullets and out of that length barrel or shorter. Thanks

First off I just read the first two posts so if this info is no longer needed my apologies. What I am running, Savage lite weight hunter, .260 Rem, 20" barrel with the 110's. I checked them again last month. 3406 at 4500' on a Caldwell Chrony at 10' from muzzle. Not a heavy load for this rifle, I was shocked at the velocity and contacted Steve, he felt that what I had was similar to their results.. Shot a small buck up close last year, meat loss was minimal but the internal damage was shocking. Hoping for test #2 this weekend.

I run the 124's at 2900 out of a 22" barrel, with H4350, so I would think with the 110's out of a 16" barrel, you'd be in the 2900 range for speed as well.

Here's a pretty interesting article on how speed is affected by barrel length in a 6.5 Creedmoor. Honestly, if I had it to do over again, I would've gone with an 18-20" barrel as I'm supressed 99% of the time.
