I've worked up loads for a friend's rifle but he is a short guy and has his stocks cut to fit to about 12 inch lop. Makes it tight for me to shoot them so I was wondering if I swapped a stock from one of my rifles on to his barreled action will the load work the same after swapping his stock back on? I've been adding padding on my shoulder to take up the space but still get touched by the scope occasionally. Rifles are Remington 700.

I've never used one , but what I thought of is one of the slip on recoil pads . I'm not sure how much length they add , or how easy they go on and off . these are something you could look into .

Shoot your friends rifle as is or better yet let him shoot the rifle.

Just changing the action screw torque can change the way the barrel vibrates and accuracy,
