      Jim,
My name is Steffan. I was reading your post on the 7mm-08 with the Berger 140gr and RL 17. I am in the hunt for a good elk load for my father. He is shooting a Ruger M77. He loves the gun, and has only shot factory ammo of 140gr bullets. He has a Shepard scope, and claims it works. I cant first hand shoot or hold the rifle. I am stationed in Utah, and he is in Kansas. He will be shooting at cooler temps, and higher elevation in Colorado. (30-45 degrees and 8-11k elevation) I want something that will push speed. To result in the flattest shooting out to 500 yards. He doesn't take shots longer than this. How hot can I load this setup? I read that you pushed a Berger 140gr bullet in the 3100 fps range correct? I plan to use RL 17 and some 140gr Bergers if I can find them. What primer? WLRM, or WLR. Can I get away with Federal 210M or should I shoot Magnum 215M? If you dont want to give out information I understand.
      Thanks in advance,
      Steffan
