Everything set up correctly, with 3 different rifles I've made first round hits on KD plates up to 1K with Shooter. This was on different occasions.
Hornady 4DOF Ballistic Calculator is free and works well.
Shooter is my favorite app, but I've never used Strelok I have applied ballistics quantum as well, but I don't use it either.

Shooter is nowhere near what strelok pro was. I don't use either because I run AB on my kestrels and the zeiss app in my binos (for the chip shots) but I see guys run em in classes. Til strelok got blocked, I used to recommend it to students who were getting started. Super cheap and very good.
I hate computers but I'm told by those more internet savvy that you can get strelok pro via use of a VPN and a mirror site. I can't confirm personally.

I'm in no way an authority on ballistic aps but I have used a bunch. I am liking Shooter these days and it is the closest one to Strelok from what I've encountered anyways.
The Leica ap is pretty good, and provides solutions out to 800yd for free.
The simplest, most intuitive one I have used is GeoBallistics. Certainly not the most comprehensive ap, but I found that one super easy to use.
No shortage of choices these days, good luck in your quest
