Saving a barrel

Will do. I hope that I haven't ruined the barrel. I bought the rifle used, and I bought it from the second owner. I don't know how many rounds were through it before I got it. I know I've put close to 800 through it.

Now you tell us it actually has an unknown number of rounds through it! You are the third owner? Now you have to wonder how the first two owners treated it. I have seen guys sighting in rifles for a upcoming hunt putting a dozen or more in a row through a barrel. It is time to bore scope it and know the barrel's condition.

If it is worn out you can rebarrel and if you desire change what it will shoot! There are many chamberings that would work in that package and it will be fun deciding which one to use.

Let us know the results of your cleaning and borer scope inspection of interior of this barrel.
