Remington Mod 7 in 300 WSM for elk

What really wanted to carry was the 20" Browning Medallion 7mm08 in the safe. Whitetail dream.

There's no reason not to use that rifle with the right projectiles.
Odds are good your shot will be closer anyway, but it will still have more than enough power.

A great choice ! Light, little, manureuverable, accurate, everything you need...years ago they made the synthetic stainless version of the model 7 in 300 saum, but dropped it very quickly...it was the perfect mountain rifle and hard to find today if you want one.. Great choice.
