Are the new Remington action junk, a friend told me they are junk compare to the older
one.
one.
They are the same...And in all honesty, the newer actions seem to have better tolerances than the old ones thanks to modern tooling and CNC. That whole "old vs. new" is just bullcrap rumors. Are the new Remington action junk, a friend told me they are junk compare to the older

^^^^^^They are the same... Just bullcrap internet rumors.
Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see...
I didn't think it could be true, they been around a long time^^^^^^
Truth
Since 1962...I didn't think it could be true, they been around a long time
Here is something posted on another site.......Are the new Remington action junk, a friend told me they are junk compare to the older

I have an "RR" serial numbered 5R Milspec .300WM, and it functions fine... But I haven't gone through it yet and broke it down to check tolerances. I will once I figure out what I'm going to do with it. I might have the action blueprinted and the chamber re-cut on the brand new 5R barrel to .300 Ackley (like my other custom .300 Ackley). I have no use for a .300WM, so might as well build another Ackley since I have plenty of brass. Bought it new in 2014, and still have never shot it...Here is something posted on another site.......
If the action has an RR prefix on the serial number you can GUARANTEE it to be AFU right out of the box. Remington changed foundries a few years back and whoever made the tool for investment casting screwed it up badly. Cam surfaces are not tangent to the action feature and its in the wrong position. There is NO PE on this series of action. We fix every single one of them that comes through here.

This is not good news. We just got 3 of the "RR" actions. What needs to be done to them to make them right? Here is something posted on another site.......

I thought Remington actions were machined from bar stock , not cast like Ruger . Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Here is something posted on another site.......

You are correct... Remington 700 receivers are machined from round bar stock.I thought Remington actions were machined from bar stock , not cast like Ruger . Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
