Remington 700 XHR in .300WM. Wanting to install a Badger Ordnance FTE brake. Has anyone seen/done/heard/know of an experianced shop or smith local West Palm Beach or elsewhere in the country that can offer some solid advice or install. Any comments on XHR. Is it a piece of crap or can it be tuned to operate with medium range accuracy 500-1000yrds effective.

It should not be to much of a problem to install a brake on the XHR.

Set up will be a little different but any competent smith should be able to install any break you
want.

The stock on the XHR is one of the fancier Tupperware ones and should be replaced to find out
what the rifle will do.

My problem with the triangular barrel is that it is like a fluted barrel, If it is not don well or is
not straight it will never shoot the accuracy that long range requires.

I would recomend a drilled brake not a side discharge to prevent any odd barrel harmonics
in the triangle barrel.
