Hey I'm fairly new to this site but have learned a lot already. I have a few questions though that I'm hoping I can get answered here.
Do I need a special kit to remove the factory muzzle brake on my Rem VTR? It is a .204 caliber and the recoil is so slight that the brake doesn't do a whole lot, other than make a lot of noise. I think it is louder than my 7mm Rem Mag(no brake). It looks like the brake can be removed with out affecting the rifled portion of the barrel, but would I still need to recrown the barrel?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am hoping to do the work myself so if there is anyone who has done this already and can offer some advice(and /or pics) it would be greatly appreciated as well.
