Remington 700 XCR 2 Muzzle Brake

I want to install a Muzzle Break on on My 7mm Mag. XCR2. I was wondering if the Nityrite coating they apply would cause galling or damage to the stainless under metal when machining the threads for the Break.

I doubt it, Give Kevin Kram a call at Montour Co Rifles....He does the finest job I have ever seen at intalling and blending brakes, I am sure he could guide you on this !
