I bought a used hs stock to use on my rem 700 .308 with a timney 510. It was previously bedded but I tried my rifle in it anyway and it sits crooked in the stock to where the trigger is against the side without any bottom metal. I cleaned off all the bedding material and it did not get better. Any ideas, I was going to get it inletted for badger dbm that I have also but not if its built for shooting around trees.

Your rifle will need to be bedded, in a stress free manner, to the HS stock,,,,, if it can be. Hard to say without "eyes/hands on". More and more we see "drop-in" more and more we see problems. It's good advertising, but many times doesn't hold true.
