Reloading Component Tourism?

Anyone else do this? Had a quick weekend road trip out of state and I couldn't help myself: Checked the local Sportsman's for stuff they might have in stock. Found 4 boxes of Berger OTM 77gn Tactical bullets sitting on the shelf. Haven't been able to find them online! Laughed at myself and got the full eye-roll from the beautiful girl I'm lucky to be with. Anyway, it's become a habit on road trips and I'm heading east for the Eclipse next month so I'll have to leave a little room to bring home souvenirs from Texas or Oklahoma!

I do it. I found H1000 awhile back in a LGS in Durango, CO when I hadn't been able to find any locally.

I would but my road trips usually consists of driving to my destination and back, only stopping for fuel and bathroom in 26hrs. And it seems most places are closed when I go through on the weekends or in the dark (I would say night but I usually start the trip late afternoon).

Have suitcases dedicated for moving ammo north. Have volunteered to drive vehicles up the AL can for folks just to transport my max primers and powders. Heck one year before all these shortages were the norm we darn near crushed the back end of a Toyota pickup moving ammo, powder and projectiles across the west to land on a north bound crab boat... who knew the good old days would be the early 2000s.

Same here....rarely find anything Blue Collar doesn't have nor cheaper. Very fortunate here also.

I think anyone who lived in AK becomes both a hoarder and shipping specialist

We have to the shortages last so much longer without internet order capacity. Especially if you're the Percentage of the population that doesn't live in the Matsu valley. Limits can hurt when your in town for a limited time.

I'm sure there are several of us up here that have shipped so much stuff to their family in the lower 48 they've put them on watch lists...

I had a buddy pick up 4lbs of H1000 for me while he was driving from TX to MT. I found it in-stock online and tried to find a place that was on his route. Turned out they had some at the Scheels in Denver. I lucked out.
