There's an auction on Gunbroker that's about to close. One 5000 piece case of small rifle magnum primers for $680

I just bought 2000 large rifle Mag primers. Paid $85. Thats about $20 (25% high) more than I should have paid for that many.....But I was not hording. I only wanted 200. That is all I needed. But everyone had bought up all the smaller packages. I had a choice, buy 2000 or buy none. I bought them because they wont spoil like potatoes.

The only primers here not available are small rifle. Perhaps due to them being snapped up to load .223. I'd suggest buying enough of all sizes to last several years. Good luck

Where I am, $85.00 is actually a pretty good price for Mag primers. I accidentally bought a box of 1000 Federal 215M instead of 205's and the regular price is $45.95 a box.

A couple of days ago Native Outdoors had CCI small rifle prjmers in stock, just FYI

Local gun store had nothing but shotgun primers. The local chain gun store sold me 400 (hundred) for $5.00/100 tax included. That was all they had.

For primer that used to cost $30 per one thousand. At one of the last gun shows last fall I bought 5000 cases of three different types for $125 each. Rem BR small rifle, CCI large rifle, and cci small pistol. I saw people buying cart fulls.:(

The only primers that I don't see on the shelf at my local place are small pistol and small rifle primers. I just bought a brick of Federal 210Ms the other day there and got a brick of Federal Small Pistol primers too. Now the small pistol primers are all gone.

Long live Texas! They are 140.00 for 2000 here in Alberta......but no shortage!

Prior to the present administration, there was a shortage of primers. I saw bricks of Federal 215M on Gunbrokers at $300 each. He didn't get any takers, but other gougers were selling at greatly inflated priced. You could see the gouging here on this forum.
