Pellet grill/smoker

I use the Smokehouse from Sam's 40lbs is about $15-$16 they feed fine in my grill. I bought the ElCheepo Even Embers from Tractor Supply $250.00 to get my feet wet and see if pellets was something I wanted to get into. So far so good.

Hey, I bought a traeger a couple years ago and love it. Smoked turkey at Thanksgiving now instead of deep fried and it's way easier. I did a couple pork loins the other day. Picture of the smoke ring, wife complained that it was going to be dry, WRONG. It was perfect. View attachment 461933

What temp did you run your pork at - and what is your elevation?

Hey BigDon, I set the temperature at 175 and put the thermometer in it. When it got to about 120 I wrapped it in tinfoil and let it go until 165. Took it off and let it rest in the foil. Our elevation is about 450 ft.

Wow - really low heat + good looking results! Altitude makes a difference - I'm at 6,700 - why I asked. Thank you for your reply. Nice work!
