Happy daylight savingsday (best holiday in the world)!

Harvested this guy yesterday (biggest to date) with a 250gr Cutting Edge ML bullet and a Green Harverstor from my 20" Knight.

Left the antlers out in the yard for the bugs to work on and another bugger critter ran off with them but found them in the woods. Humbly trying to remind myself the trophy is in the coolers...If you want to keep your mounts, don't leave them out....

Big holes, lots of blood, and the booger still ran over a hundred yards…down hill of course

I'm thinking for rifle, the .338 may be the ticket for the thick woods to make lots of trail to follow.

Thanks, I cut that barrel back to about 19" and sponged some paint on this old Knight a few years back. Did the same with the new barrel as it is handy in the woods.

Congrats all around,that's a great buck anywhere, with a heart Or lung shot they're going to motor & if your shoulder shot them they'll drop quicker but then there's more meat loss. Nice pictures ,thks n Cheers
