Let's talk nrl hunter set ups! What are you guys running for them? Action, chambering, carbon barrel vs steel, stocks, handloading or factory? I will say I'm by no means a Creedmoor fan but there's no way I can see running a 308 in one of these. Looking at building 2 one for me one for the wife. I could spin a barrel off of hers and just throw a new barrel on to make power factor. Plan to shoot as a team since we hunt together but I'm looking at what all of you are running. Could run the 25 creed just to be different. So list or show and list your nrl hunter rigs!

Personally....6.5 prc would be my choice if I was looking for more muscle than 6.5cm but less recoil than the 300 mags.

Ive been pleasantly surprised by how "easy" the prc is too shoot

Haven't shot in competition yet, will be soon. Here's what I'm planning on shooting. Savage 12 action, 25" Xcaliber barrel in 6.5x284 Winchester chambered by Crown Ridge w/ CR muzzle brake, Timney trigger, B&C M40 stock, Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44 FFP, 140gr ELDMs in Lapua brass over RL16 at 2910fps, Accurate Mag bottom metal w/ AM binderless AICS mag. Gun weighs 11.4 lbs w/ bipod.

Which ones are you going to shoot? I may shoot one kn early May but that will depend on the family we have in town.

I've never shot a centerfire nrl hunter match only rimfire but if I were to start I would use my 25 creed. I prefer it's performance too my 260 rem.

I think if I was to build one though I would do a 25 saum or 25 prc for the added performance.

Yeah that's not a bad idea I other I know I'd use it to shoot my clubs monthly prs match. Hello new barrel every year, lol!

Well id really like to build a 25 saum/prc for a hunting build so if I decide to do nrl hunter then I'll make sure the build meets all the requirements there. I just think those calibers would make the perfect medium game caliber

I agree I've always wanted a 25sst and that's what I was dead set on but as of late I have a 6.5ss reamer and a 6.5prc sherman improved reamer so I hate to buy another one to chamber one barrel and sit. My current ss is on its way down so a rebarrel will be here quickly.
