Hello all,

I am having a rifle built currently and am looking for recommendations for scopes. I have a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP on my current rifle, however, am wanting to upgrade to something else for my next rifle.

I am wanting a FFP scope and the lighter, the better, however, this isn't a sheep rifle so not horendously picky on options.

I have looked at the Nightforce SHV line, however, would like to hear all of your recommendations.

Sightron SIII 6-24 in mils are around $800, on the Amo Z , but I have a few Vortex 5-25 in mils FFP and very happy with them, small center dot and tracking is right on, good glass and you can find them at a very great price. Old timer said to me once, depends on you pocket depth, and how much you use it. These have been great , not those heavy thick cross hairs, zero stop and other items comes with them, mine are the Venom , also I've used the Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30x56, great also.

If you were in the Military - My Exchange has some good prices.


It's possible to get a lot more scope than you thought you could using any of those above.
