Building a new truck gun thinking 22_6mm or 6_06 or 6.5_wsm kicker is a bbl over 24 dose not work very well and 22 is best most shots are under 300 some are longer I mostly shoot varmints hogs and deer . I have a 22_6mm that is deadly with 75gr Amax and scirraco just way to long to spin around in the pick up when a target pops up. Carry a 22_250 hvy varmint cut to 22 inches daily now but want a new toy any ideas

I would do a 243. My truck gun is a 223, but most my shots are under 200 yards and at coyotes...
