I know this gets beat to death but here it goes. I have a Stiller TAC 300, McMillian game warden, Wyatt's box, Jewell trigger in a 28 Nosler now that is currently a 28 Nosler throated for the 195s. Still shoots great but looking forward……..what to build???
Have a semi custom 300 PRC shoots factory 212 less than 3/4", 7SS that shoots bug holes with168 and 175 Bergers, Nosler semi custom 270, 6.5-284, 6 Creedmore, 22-250 and 223, all except the 223 and 270 are fast twist for heavy for caliber bullets and all shoot great.
Used for steel to 700 yds and hunting. No competitions except a little light gambling on the range!!!
Really have no need for a 33 caliber rifle.
Honestly just thinking about doing 28 Nosler again but that not really any fun. Maybe a 6 PRC, but not really into forming brass. Reload so non-factory is cool!
All ideas are appreciated!!!

Well, you seem to have all the basis covered.

Don't know why, but 338 Federal has always intrigued me. But then again, I'm a 308 fan.

I also have an 18" Ruger American in .308 that shoots bug holes with 168 A-Max at 2550 fps.

I have been considering a 300 WM but mostly because I have brass and dies for that caliber. Also like the WSM.
My 300 PRC is built with a 26" Proof barrel and only weighs 8.4 lbs with a Leupold VX 5 scope. So very light weight with tons of long range capabilities. Built it for mountain hunting specifically but works awesome on Nilgai in South Tx as well. Checks both of those boxes.
Forgot to mention I also have a Bergara Terrain Wilderness 7 mag.

Use a 300nm case, neck up to .458 and have a blast! 26cal gives you high bc's with good weights. Take a 7prc case, neck down for a decent h2o capacity or shorten a 300nm to 2.250-2.300" unless you need to go smaller on bolt size or limited to .535" in the Stiller?

The 6 PRC is about as easy as a wildcat gets, merely neck down w/ bushing. Has pretty good speed and simple enough even I can handle it.

This boils down to personal choice/intended purpose. Are you trying to fill a gap?

.24 cal - gap
.25 cal -gap
.26 cal
.27 cal
.28 cal
.30 cal
.33 cal: X

Your easy button seems to be a .25 WBY, but that's just me. My .257 WBY is specifically built to propel the 131 BJ, 134 Hornady, 133/135 Berger, and the 145 Black Hole. It propels the 145 Black Hole at ~3100 FPS with powders I already have opened (not necessarily ideal)—load development is still in progress.

(As pictured, .015" off the lands).

If you go this route, ensure you have the right barrel twist for the bullet you will use. Good luck!
