All of my load development has been done using CCI200 primers. Due to being unable to purchase any of these in nearly 3 years I searched elsewhere and found Remington 9 1/2's and stocked up. Are the 9 1/2's similar to the CCI200, or hotter or what do you think? Any temperature performance changes to be aware of? I don't want to throw a known load/charge combo together with the new primer only to run into a pressure issue. I know I will have to develop new loads but I was hoping to use my old loads as a starting point.

Anytime you change a primer its not gonna shoot the same. You need to do a full load work up.

emp1953,

Changing primers is the last thing I do to finalize a load; unless I so Lee Factory Crimp. I don't change anything except the primer. I discovered on never knows which primer his rifle will like until he tries them.

Rem. 9.5 primers are good primers.
You will need to start over, like mentioned above drop a gr. and try them. Now if your last load was max then drop down a couple gr.s Hope this helps. đź‘Ť
