Interesting guess.

Looks somewhat similar to a round that has been chambered into a case separated at the shoulder by a machine gun. But everything looks to uniform and clean for that. Interesting!

First guess was 7.9 Mauser, but it had a double shoulder. That doesn't look like a double shoulder.

For kicks, I ran a .375 Ruger case in a .300 RUM, sizing die. Then I seated a 240 Matchking in it. It was just interesting so I posted it.
