What cartridge is this

A friend of mine went to an estate sale and the sale was full of old reloading stuff and some reloaded rounds I'm assuming. This case is almost a half inch shorter from base to top of case mouth. Case is printed 30-30 on base but I'm not sure what it is. I can get more measurements if need be.

My "Guess" is,.. .30 Herrett ( SP ?? ) used in T/C Contenders,.."back in the Day"
It looks to be,.. UN-Fireformed

Thank you guys, I figured I'd get some answers on here. I sent him a link to the .30 herret and told him to measure his case and see if it matched
