My Glock upgrades.

I decided to go ahead with my upgrades on my G23 Gen 3 Glock. I just couldn't see selling it to get something else. So I did a grip reduction, removed Glock hump, removed the finger grooves, removed the thumb rests, contoured the grip, did a double undercut which I might continue to work on, scalloped the mag release, and a stipple job. I didn't smooth out all the texture to retain the frame structure. But smoothing and sanding the original texture would have made the stippling job come out better. It's fully functional and looks fine. Points much more like a 1911 and is far more secure in my hands.

It is scalloped near the grip and under the trigger guard. Which is why I listed a double undercut. I scalloped according to how I grip the pistol, not by other's design for their scallop. I could go deeper but that would create a space between my hand and the pistol which I don't care for. But I'll shoot it some more to see if I want to reposition my grip and make deeper undercuts. I've only shot it once yesterday for only thirty rounds or so. I might wait until after some competitions this spring. I'm hoping to be able to do more shooting of some sort.

Removing the Glock "hump" on the backstrap makes for a more natural grip angle. Also if you shot two groups while shooting a Glock that's usually from the trigger finger rubbing up against the frame. Moving the trigger finger away from the frame just a slight bit stops that. Or recontouring the frame where the trigger finger goes into the trigger guard can help.

I've always been a 1911 guy but the weight and capacity do not make them great carry guns. The smith shield plus and the P365 fit great. The 365 macro is 17 rounds now. I don't have the time or energy to modify a glock.

To each their own. The last Sig I had was the P229. I'm not too trusting of the new Sig P365. I considered the Shield Plus but didn't like that they used roll pins since I take out the trigger parts regularly for cleaning. We all had our preferences.
