Starbuck I run exactly same NX8 F1 mil scope on my 300wm. Not to beat a dead horse but that scope is a great buy especially when purchased as a demo from Scopelist. And their service equals Leupold. I have had one scope sent back for repairs due to my fault. Service & turnaround time was excellent

If weight is a concern, March is my preference by far and away. Meopta is way underrated and punches way above its price point

Gonna try and snag one of the new Seekins element hunters when they come out and was looking for some input on scopes.
I live out in the west so longest shots I'd like to be able to take would be around 1200.

I was looking at the NF nx8 4-32 or the leupold mark 5 5-25. I'm totally open to other scopes but was wanting to stay on the lighter side for sure.

I was also kind of looking at the Burris E6 but not sure if I wanna make the jump to electronic scopes

Take a look at the Shepherd line of scopes. I especially like their DRS models.

Bushnell 4.5x18 exclusively from gap precision is a good option if you don't want to break the bank. Low turret, ed glass, and one of the most usable reticle in hunting conditions, both at low and higher magnification.

I agree on reticle bit small on Mil,I have NX8 2-20,F1 mil and the March reticle is larger and superior, like the lower profile turrets more also.Mine has held up to hard mountain hunting on a 7# 338 NM,for last 10 years

I believe there is a work around for the Seekins 20 moa scope rail: Burris Signature Series scope rings. They come with plastic inserts that allow you to change the tilt of the scope. https://www.burrisoptics.com/mounting-systems/signature-rings

One more vote for NF NX8 4-32 FFP. Just a great scope. I love this scope, the MOAR reticle, and the small center illumination option I got, which really helps with seeing the reticle more clearly when using the scope on lower power. It's just a great scope, and it's a NF so you know it's gonna dial reliably and be durable. People on here love to talk about how you can shoot long with lower power, like it's some kind of weakness to use it. If you don't need or want the add'l magnification - then don't use it. Pretty easy.
