Long range hunting picture thread. please post pics.

Heres my 7 RM. The new scope has been on for a couple months. Its a VX3 LR, 6.5-20x50, 30mm, SF, fine duplex. Scope before was a MK4, 4.5-14x50, 30mm, SF, regular duplex. For longer range shooting out to 1000 yards or beyond, I definately like the 20x with fine duplex. Rifle has factory rem trigger worked to 2.5#. Holland QD brake. Leupolds permanent weaver style rings/base.

Here is my 25-06. Its a Win M70 Classic Sporter. Original trigger down to 2.25#, Leupold rifleman weaver rings/bases. Leupold VX2, 6-18x40 Target, fine duplex.

Rem 700 ADL in .222 Rem. Factory Rem trigger down to 2#. Scope is Leupold VX3, 2.5-8x36. Weaver rings/bases. Unbelievably accurate for a little sporter weight rifle.

.282 Neck (real pita but worth it in the end)

This gun is a .300 RUM. Otherwise everything else is the same as the first gun. Same builder. You have to look at the ends of the barrels to tell them apart.
The .300 Rum now sports a 30MM 6.5X20X40LR VXIII now so it looks a bit differant than the .25-06AI which has the 6X18X40 Burris Fullfield II on it. I'm still working up a load that it likes but have gotten a .400 group for its tightest. Its also going to get a brake put on it before I go much further with its load development.
Probably two of the nicest rifles to shoot I have ever owned.

Iv'e just fitted a Manners MCS-GAT stock to my Rem 700 in 6.5x284. It has transformed the looks.

Painting, application of texture and bedding was self done.

The Manners stocks are a very good alternative to Mcmillan.

Here are 2 of my main rifles that I have built for myself. The .308 is my comp. rifle (soon to be retired as backup when my 6x47 is stocked)
The other is my 300wm go to hunting rifle.
