Have not seen a Post in a while talking about what Burbon they are sipping on for the evening. Burbon is my favorite Libation for the evening and had not indulged in the last few years due to the medication for my neck. I live vicariously through your posts. My favorite Burbon was Knob Creek, Knob Creek and good old Jim Beam. My introduction to Burbon was when I was in the Marines serving in SE Asia. We didn't have to pay tax on booze so it was inexpensive. We could get a 1/2 gallon of Jim Beam for $2.86 and a six pack of coke for $0.90.
I never did have the opportunity to taste the expensive Bourbons, but if this next neck operation works, I think that I just might buy me one.
What are you y'all sippin on tonight?
Thanks

Bourbon is growing on me.

We moved outside of Louisville from San Antonio in 2020. I went to college in Kentucky, and left the state in 1997. Since then, the number of bourbon distilleries exploded. There are over a hundred active bourbon distilleries currently in production in Kentucky.

Several of my friends in Texas have stated that they want to come tour the Bourbon Trail, but none have shown up yet.

I actually just popped the cork on

this tonight (not a true bourbon). It's a barrel pick from our most recent A-10 competition, hosted in Boise this last August. It's quite tasty. I'm not a big fan of the Old No 7 for a neat pour, but the single barrel picks and the single barrel barrel proof expressions are really good. Cheers! 🥃💥🥃

Although unfortunately really trendy nowadays, and as such hard to find and expensive, I find I prefer many bourbons that come from Buffalo Trace. Knob Creek is definitely good stuff too though, and their 9 year single barrel is excellent.

I think I'm pushing like 100 different whiskeys in my collection at the moment, and I drink on them all!
