Lets see your berger kills!

This porcupine didn't like the 140 vld's out of the 6.5x284. Got this little guy at 100 yds.

This is my boy's first big game animal and the first elk we have taken with the berger.

.270 shooting 150 grain berger VLD 2950 fps at the muzzle.

This cow was 300 yards quartering slightly away and slightly up hill. Bullet entered right behind the shoulder and exited where the neck meets the body with a whole the size of a 50 cent piece. She took one step and flipped over.

I did a write up more indepth in the elr section. But the bull was quartering hard. I tried to stick one at the last rib and ended up hitting right infront the right hip and found the bullet in the throat taking the wind pipe out. Thanks. I wish I could count how many have said. Quit taking pictures and finish him off. lol.

What was your impact velocity? That is VERY typical of a Berger with not enough velocity to expand. Not at all surprising at that range though.....Rich

702 Yards across the canyon. 3 300 gr OTM's in the boiler before he would lay down and pass! .338-378 2700FPS at the muzzle

I think 2700 out of a 338-378 seems to be low. My buddy shoots his at close to 3100. That would probably help to open up the bullet and give more energy downrange. Most 338 Lapuas get 2800 or up and that case is smaller.

I can easily get 3050 with RE 33 in my Lapua IMP. That is no pressure at all. The 378 case is bigger and should at least be able to get close to that or more. That is a nice picture and bull. Matt
