Ran into a couple of guys around here who brought up an old question. I switched from a loop to a "jag" a few years ago, and have had better luck with it than I did with a loop. These guys are telling me that a loop works better now because sweets is now thicker. What does everyone here think?

Thanks Darryl, Fatboy, I ran a wet batch on a loop through just to see how it felt, very dissapointing. I'll stick to jags, littletoes.

I actually use both. The initial pass is with a loop. It seems to put a better, heavier coat of solvent in the bore. Let it sit a bit, then brush it. A little sit, then another patch in a loop to "flush" out the heavy crud from brushing. Then, I start running a tight jag, first with solvent, then without, till clean.
