Is it the price? Why am I finding powder on clearance in this day and age?

This has nothing to do with the availability of the powder but wholesalers. Large retailers will routinely mark in stock product down to clearance prices whenever they pick up a new supplier, even if it is the same product. Sports and Rec used to do that almost monthly. They would have the same product on the "normal" shelf while selling it at half price in the "closeout" section. It's no wonder they went out of business, but the sales were great!

Probably full of Oil not powder. Somebody did an oilchange and those are the only containers they had around.

scheels has been pushing out excess inventory of powder and bullets for a couple months... most is stuff I'm not interested in like vit. pistol powder or jacketed that's for a pistol caliber I don't have...
