How old are you? How old do you FEEL?

I'm a forester and occasional wildland firefighter. I'm very fortunate and my complaints are all very minor!
That's awesome! So does Colorado have the same type of RPF as we do in Canada? I'm starting my articling with the Forest Professionals of B.C. while I finish my other certifications.

God bless my friend! I hope you are able to have a long restful nap this weekend without interruption!

Keep on keeping on mi amigo!
It ain't over 'til it's over!

I've got some decisions to make myself!
Broke my arm as a freshman in high-school. The elbow is now "bone-on-bone" and very painful when turned or twisted the "wrong" way ... which is quiet often!
Looking at prostate surgery! (Ugh!)
Both thumbs have become detached. ...but is it worth the surgery to correct?
Staring at sciatica and stenosis.
Every back joint has arthritis. Who am kidding, EVERY joint is arthritic!
Border line diabetic.
I'll be 76 this fall. I'm overweight, have high blood pressure and had a heart attack in January of 2025! Three stints!

Not sure if I'm up to trying another surgical recovery. My last hip replacement was in February of 2024! It's been 2 years and I'm just now beginning to walk without walker, cane, crutches or the $3k electric scooter we "splurged" on.

Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
Keep fighting Brother!

Thanks! Forester certification is a thing in the US, but in my experience it's very uncommon at the federal level. I think how common it is at the private level varies from state to state and from industry to industry.

I'm sure BC is a cool place to work in forestry!

Gotcha. Up in Canada our RPF designation is equal federally across each province; but each province has its own chapter and different way of organizing the professional organization. Basically so we have reciprocity for the profession; if you are working in a different province that only takes a bit of paperwork to be able to practice there too.

BC is pretty cool, but boy are things getting silly up here politically and that's been changing how we do things for sure.

But it makes for a great place to take pics while working!

I know this is a repost, but some people may not have seen it. If you have to go under the knife check this procedure out, it's called a nanoknife, if your doc doesn't know about it then find one that does. The side effects are minimal compared to traditional removal of the prostrate. How do I know about it, I had to search out for that second doc and found one and it worked for me. I don't have any stock in this company or know anyone in it, but after having it done and back to work in a week or so, I forget exactly, I'm glad I went this route.
