How is StaBall 6.5 working out?

I just entred the creed world. Im a long time supporter of the 260 rem cal bolt guns and gassers . H4350 has been the stable go to for yrs .proof no longer chambers for 260 rem in a gasser barrel so creed it is now .i must say staball has earned a spot on the top shelf for 6.5 creed
i use it in a 24" gas gun proof carbon barrel
140 gr horn hpbt match bullet 2740 fps and 1/4" groups
id like to run the 140 vld's with staball in the creed but all the 140'si have left are put aside for a WSM that loves them.
i run 130. vld's and eld's in the 260 gasgun because of mag length and H4350 nets 2760 fps 22" proof carbon and 1/4" moa

I have started load development on a 6.5 x 284
stiller predator, bartlien heavy 1in8 pillar bedded in wood stock.
i was pushing this rifle to later in the yr when i get funds for the nightforce.
but i have been told im not the most patient person on this rock.!
so i scarfed a huskemaw off my varmint rifle proving it !
i just have to play with some staball powder and i have a big box of sierra 130 gamechanger TGK . That didnt work out in my gasgun.
15 rounds for break in and finding max .
max for this rifle is around 54 grs with staball ,easy bolt lift but just a very sm shiney mark starting to show up on head of case.
ladder starts at 51 ends at 54
Up .5 gr per step.
OAL 3.110 .005 off
my plans are to shoot this ladder in the morn at sun up.
i ll post the results
during break in at 52 grs i got 3037 fps

It was cold on my trigger hand shooting this morning .( gloveless)
so the ladder wih staball went well except for a flyer no.6 in the string .
it maybe that this is just to much powder and throws things wacky.
the sweet spot for this bullet powder combo is at 52.5and 53 grains
the 54 gr charge had the same sm shiny head mark ,but easy bolt lift .
i could prob go higher .5or 1 gr but i happy with long brass life .
i ll load up 52.7 with over all length test grps next
fps should be around 3050 and prob 3100ish after bbl speeds up.
if i can pull some 1/4 moa grps with this i'm happy till i get more 140 eld's or vld's , To test with this powder

So 52.7 gr with staball OAL test yielded 3/4 moa grps
so i dropped dwn to 51.7 grs which was the lower node in ladder teat. Same 3/4 moa grp with oal test .
this is prob the best with this powder and bullet choice , id like to run a 140 with this powder
i ll try to be patient and wait til i find more elds or vlds in the 140 gr weight to try with staball before i fall back on h4350 , or if i find retumbo.
i had excellent results with staball in the 6.5 creed gas gun 24" bbl
140 gr hpbt hornady match 2740 fps and 3/8 moa.

I know this post is old. For my boys 6.5 creedmoor American Ruger Predator 22" barrel. I'm loaded with 42.0 gr OAL 2.80 with 143 eldx bullets. I'm getting 2706 avg velocity with a SD of 5 and an ES of 9. We hunt in AZ and Temps very greatly. This powder seems to hold up well for temp sensitivity for us as well.

I use it in my 22-250, and 6.5CM. 68 grain Hornady hpbt in the 250, 143 eldx in the CM. Can't remember the velocities off the top of my head, but both were adequate for me, and the last two targets I shot with each before hunting season last year were five shot ragged holes at 100 yards. Killed a sack full of varmints that were chicken gitters with both. Still had venison from season before so the deer caught a break lol.

I've had great luck with it in my hunting rifle 7SAW with 162 ELDM'S.
I'm in the process of finalizing a 65Creed load with 147's.Single digital SD'S & 175fps over my H4350 load.
Playing with seating depths to try and tighten groups up just a tad.

Have used it with success in a few cartridges.

6.5 Creedmoor with 140 Bergers
308 Win with 200gr Game Kings (2513 FPS from a 20" barrel, not too shabby)
300 WM with 124 and 152 Hammers
338 Sherman with 213gr Hammers
