Picked up a tub of Hornady Unique Case Lube at Cabela's s a month or so ago. I have used it to neck size 223 Rem. It lubed the necks good and had no problems. Cleaned up nice after sizing too.
Has anyone used it for full length sizing 338 WM, 300 WSM or 270 Win.?
My biggest cases to Full Length size.
On the container says, Natural non-petroleum paste lube.
Also states can be used to preserve leather and waterproof shoes.
Any Comments welcome. LT

I've tried quite a few case lubes including all three hornady makes and settled on the "One Shot" spray.

Both of the others can cause a problem of buildup in your resizing dies in the shoulder area and can then dimple them.

Hornady Unique is my favorite.

For all resizing tasks, expanding case necks, lubing primer pockets, lubing case necks prior to seating bullets, and more...

You'll have no issues full length resizing anything.

I started using Hornady Unique after getting a 300 wsm case stuck in a Redding die. No problems since, the stuff Works great and smells good too

Works well as long as you don't use too much of it will dent cases like wildrose stated

I use it exclusively for everything from 223 all the way up to 338 Edge and a heck of a lot in between. I've never dented a case, nor do I clean my dies all that often.

I use it with no issues. The only lube I have ever stuck a case with is the one shot. I love the idea of the stuff. No muss no fuss. But twice i have stuck cases. Not sure if I just didn't cover the whole case or what. Don't think I'll use it again.

Not hard to do if you get in a hurry and don't let the one shot dry well before resizing. Been there, done that, learned the hard way. Never had a problem otherwise.

One Shot here. I tried many, including Imperial wax. Too many stuck cases.

You've stuck cases with Imperial and Unique and not stuck cases with One Shot? Sticking cases is pretty easy to do with One Shot, too easy actually, but how on earth have you stuck cases with Unique and Imperial?

Just like Burris scopes and I don't get along. The customer service lady told me, "You must be getting every reject we ever made." When something doesn't work with me, it's not used any more.

Same question. Only way to stick a casing with the Unique or Imperial is - forget to apply it. I've stuck'em with One Shot also. Only way to ensure you don't stick a casing with one shot is to empty the contents of the spray can into a container, dunk your casings in the liquid, pull them out, wait for the drying period, and... and... and... wait some more... and then resize them.

I suggest anyone buying One Shot, also buy the stuck case removing tool from RCBS at the same time. You'll be needing it.

So it is not just me. Last one I stuck was 300wsm. Hornady dies. Had ro go get a new set of dies. So stuck that pulled the threads out of the base of the case trying to pull it out.

Thanks for the post. I will not tey it again.
