I finally got a chance to hit a mile with my 338 lapua. It took 3 shots to get on then I had 9 hits. I had to hang it it up when I got a stuck case.
I am also considering putting a different tube on our 338 Lapua, thinking a shilen select match with the ratchet rifling and a CSR brake.my rifle is a savage 110 hs with a vortex viper scope. I was shooting a 2'x2' steel plate no pics of the plate though. I am using lapua brass with 300 grain bergers and have noticed that it starts to get sticky when it starts to get hot. I should have let it cool more but was having so much fun. I am considering getting a 30" broughton 5c barrel here pretty soon
I love the 30"select grade match brux I put on mine walk her out to 2005 regulaly with sub moa accuracy shoots abot 1/4 moa at 950 consistantly have put up to 100 rounds through it with little to no copper fouling and accuracy is as good on the last shot as the first.
Lorenzo Young (grit on here) at deadly presision did the work on mine trued and bedded action new recoil lug and new tube with a badger ordanace break she will one hole the 300 smk at 100 with 89.6 grains at 2800 fps

Wow that's impressive. I am building a 338 378wby on a savage 110 with a 34 in LIlja barrel. Hope to be shooting within 3 months . I am new here, but have been reading lrh for a while. Learning a lot. Hope to eventually get out that far!
