Being H870 is a little slower than N570 would you guys think it be just a good or somewhat better than the N570? I have 3lbs of it and thinking about giving it a try with the 195 EOL Bergers!!

I have been using H870 for years in a very large capacity cartridge, and really like it. The only thing I have worried about is secondary pressure excursions. I purchased a pressure trace II, and it does have some secondary pressure curves, but it is not significant enough t worry about in my rifle. I have had no problems with temperature sensitivity.

Cant speak for N 570 as ive never used it, but I have used lots of H870. For sure there are considerable differences in performance in cold weather.
When 7828 came along we switched over to that in the large capacity 7mms. It made a considerable difference in the performance of the cartridges over H870. We do not use 190s however, preferring the 160 class bullets in the 7mms.

the biggest problem with h870 is the powder's out of production. I'd look at rl25, rl33, or rl50 before h870, aa8700 or the like. Some guys are having luck with the slower vit powders, but if you find a load, you had better buy enough powder for a couple years use, as you may have a hard time getting it on a moments notice.

Well I wouldn't worry much about the supply, because I wouldn't be using it. To give an example, in the 7x300 WBY case, which is essentially the same capacity as the 7 STW, 90 gr of H870 gave me about 3200 fps with a 30" barrel with a 162 gr. Whereas 79 gr of 7828 adds 200 fps with a 28" using the same bullet.
Another thing we found is that the 162s shoot flatter out to 1200 than the 180s.
BC is the same as BS without the initial velocity to make it work.
