Interesting. I would have thought thou the 20fps would not have change close up impact that much.

Thinking how the rifle is moving under recoil is making the 3/8" impact diff not the 20 fps. How much diff does 20 fps make at 1000y?

Depending on the BC of the bullet and the velocity. In the .300 magnum about .25 MOA (about 2.6") in my 06 about .44 MOA (about 4.60")..

So not a lot.. BUT would make for a bad hit depending what you are shooting at.

You'd have to tear apart every shooting position there is to split all the hairs on this conundrum, don't think this rabbit hole has a bottom

It just points out the age old principle that consistency is king.

It's a bit late for April Fools, isn't it?

Ammo fluctuates, and ~20 FPS is a fairly common deviation. That's my thoughts on it.

I can extend my effective range by 500 yards simply by pushing my rifle forward as I squeeze the trigger.

More like snake oil... I'm not buying into this crap. I think the editor is just getting standard ammo deviations through his chrono, or his cheek weld position has changed from bench to prone, and thinks he's discovered some profound new level of physics...

Did yall read the comments in the YT video? It's amazing how many sheeple there are that hang on these people's every word like it's the Gospel.

Welcome to the water cooler and the subject that has perplexed mankind since the invention of the chronograph, can I shoot through this enough to use the battery up before it gets old and dies a lonely death ...
