Bought a Remington 700 SPS 7 STW NIB from someone here on the sight. Worked up a load with:

Nosler brass
Fed. 215M Primer
73 gr. Reloader 25
Berger 180 gr. VLD

It shot bug hole groups at 100 yards. Today I got a chance to shoot it at 1000 yards. After one shot that hit 1 MOA high, I corrected for elevation and windage and fired a 3 shot group. I'm pleased to see that it's holding less than .5 MOA accuracy. I didn't use the calipers but the group measured well under 3 inches. Not bad for an SPS with a skinny barrel and a Nikon 6-18 Buckmaster.

I was interested in how well the SPS would shoot. Did you have the one with the 26' plain barrel or the one with the factory muzzlebreak?

Congratulations on the good work!!!

Been using RL25 in mine, down to about 2lb,reluctant to play around with other loads till I can get more powder.Anyone know where some can be found?

That is nothing short of AWSOME!!! I am cleaning some brass right now to work up my first load of RL25 and some VLD 168's. That gives me a lot of inspiration!!!

I've got the one with the factory radial brake. I think it's the loudest rifle I've ever fired. I've named it The Dragon. It definitely breathes fire. No recoil though.

I looked at those before I found a used Sendero.Alot of the guys on this forum felt that they might not perform well.It seems you showed them wrong. For the price, they seem to be good.
Have you had a chance to crono that load yet?

Yeah I checked it when I worked up the load. It averaged 2867 fps 10 feet from the barrel. The extreme spread was single digit and SD was low single digits. It does sound that fast but with the Berger VLD it's still supersonic at 1600 yards.

That is good to know. I might have to order me one of them for a lightweight hunting rifle.

I've got my Sender SF STW, but I don't want to keep shooting it so much that the barrel gets shot-out. I need a rifle I don't care about to go beat-around. LOL Plus, once that barrel gets done for, I've got another blued heavy Sendero 7mm STW barrel waiting in the wings.

Do you have any pics of the rifle?
