Favorite 22-250 load?

I have a Rem.700 vls in 22-250 and have shot 55 grain Nosler spitzers with 34 grains of 4064 with okay groups. Looking to tighten groups and shoot out to about 500yds. I'm not sure what twist the barrel has. Anyone know what most of the vls 700's had? Thanks

I'm using Varget behind a Sierra 55 gr Blitzking that does very well - through a Tikka Varmint in 22-250

using a mild charge of h4895 with win 55 fmj's in my savage pistol for 5 shot moa performance. Also using ww760 with a 50 grain Mid south bullet for similar accuracy. Scope is a M8 4x eer Leopold...

considering that my groups were shot in a Savage, they probably will not work. I like 35.5 grains of IMR3031 with a Sierra #1365 grain bullet seated .002" off the lands. Shot a few .220" five shot groups, and as low as .188". The problem is that The Remington throat might be longer or shorter; thus making the case volume different. Never had a problem with three Savages, as their throats were very similar.

39.6 hrs H380. 50 gr Nosler B.T. CCI 200 L.R. Primer Will have to look in loading data as to where bullet is seated to the ogive. This load is hot and is shot out of a Shilen SS Match barrel. Crows ,groundhogs make a red mist. Very accurate.

Forgot to add. Pretty sure you rifle has a 1/14 twist.

Shot a few 53gr. Sierras thru my Rem 700 22-250 the other day with the new IMR 4166. It seems to shoot as well as my favorite H380.

Morning, I have 2 Ruger varmiters Red Pad tang safety's
22-250 34grs 4320 TSX 53gr fb bullet.
22-250AI 39grs W760 TSX 53gr fb bullet
223AI 27.5grs. Tac Winchester brass 68gr barnes Fed primer outstanding accuracy
All these loads shoot termite holes.
The stock remington rifles that i owned have been short throated.
I have a 223 remington sts new 27grs ramshot tac, winchester brass, 53gr. TSX
Federal match primers. bug holes.
Barnes makes the 53gr fb bullet. This a very good bullet for everything. I shoot hogs in the neck and deer heart area shots. This bullet is awesome.
