Do you clean your brass?

I was just watching an interview with a long range shooter and he claimed that he doesn't clean his brass. Most of the time I clean mine because I was told I had to. Do all of you clean your brass before you reload it?

No. I would rather spend time on the things that make a difference with accuracy.

I just de-prime and toss them in a vibrating walnut media for a couple of hours. I like shiny brass. The only issue I've run into is picking out media from the primer pockets. No big deal for me.

NO. But I trim when needed, clean and uniform primer pockets and take a nylon brush to the inside neck with a small cordless drill. When the brass is tarnished
Or oily from sizing I will throw them in a tumbler.

I clean mine twice per cycle. Once before sizing and once after sizing.

You really just need to knock the dust off and then the lube off. This is quick in a dry tumbler.

that works for me, I deprime, anneal, size and trim then toss them into the tumbler. doing hundreds of small cases is rough on my hands when try to use a rag.

My main thing is to get the lube off. Most of the time I put shells in the tumbler I forget about them for a day or two before to turn it off

I dry tumble before sizing. I have scratched the inside of sizing dies in the past from dirty brass. It left some bad scratches on my brass. I sent the dies back to the manufacture to have them polished or replaced.

Vibratory w/ walnut for real dirty stuff. But otherwise i use a microfiber cloth to wipe the lube of after sizing.
