Custom rifle for 245 berger-250 hornady Atip

How can they possibly limit your cartridge choice? NVM that's another discussion.
You could just rebarrel the rifle you have. What's the twist rate on it now?

EDIT: Looks like it should be a 1:9 why not load up some of the 245/250 gr bullets and see how fast you can push them, maybe you'll be happy with that for now. Personally if I already had a 300prc I'd consider a different caliber, probably something in 338
Here we are very limited and every day they take more things from us.
Right now the largest caliber that civilians can use is the 338 lapua.
Last year they banned the 375 cheytac.
In the field, we cannot put a metal target or silhouette and shoot.
If they catch you, they take away your rifles and weapons license.
I can only have 2 lb of powder and 100 primers at home,
We cannot use thermal riflescopes, night scopes, etc, etc, etc and many more things.
A real rubbish

And I thought I had it bad when I dropped primers on the floor... ****!

Sounds kind of like Canada, aside from the powder and primer limits, I'm sure we are on our way there. They banned Cheytac here also but there is ways around that.

I think 30 caliber bullets have better bc than 338 and 250g caliber bullets
B.C is not everything.
A 250 338 Berger will run right with a 30 cal 245 out to 1,000 and probably do better farther out. Theres a reason guys run 375 and 416 stuff at extended ranges.
Your really limited in your situation I would really do your homework before you jump on the 30 cal 245 bandwagon just because of B.C

I really do not know.
I will try to inform myself well before making a decision.
